One Home at a Time

Rebuilding Together OKC provides a Safe & Healthy Housing program with no-cost home repairs and modifications to low-income veteran homeowners ages 55 years & older, allowing them to remain in their homes and safely age in place. Our Safe & Healthy Housing program assists people with mobility issues and other disabilities to improve accessibility, reduce falls, increase independence, and facilitate aging-in place.

Program goals include:

  • Improve accessibility with ramps and low-rise steps to easily move about the home.

  • Reduce falls by removing tripping hazards and providing home modifications like grab bars, handrails, improved lighting, accessibility ramps, and elevated ADA toilets.

  • Increase independence by ensuring safe entry and exit from home.

  • Facilitate aging-in-place by modifying the home to address safety hazards, such as installation of smoke and C02 detectors, and addressing heating, plumbing, electric, ventilation, and other structural issues.

Through the contributions of time, labor, materials, and funding from neighbors who care, Rebuilding Together OKC brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of qualifying seniors in the Oklahoma City metro area.

  • A robust care package delivery program

  • Global entertainment

  • Military spouse and youth programming

  • Holiday Programs

Why Support the USO

  • We go where no other nonprofit can go.  Our long standing and trusted relationship with the DOD allows us access to installations and remote locations to serve.

  • We welcome the engagement of donors at our programs.  Our supporters can have first-hand impact to the people serving.

  • A source of pride through philanthropy for those working at your organization.

  • The USO provides support to ALL ranks and branches of the active-duty, National Guard, the reserves and their families.
